These young roboticists deserve another round of thunderous applause for their generous hearts in sharing their talent and skills with their peers. For all their passion and dedication in the field of robotics, these wizards have reached far and wide into robot arenas of foreign lands. From the humble local sumo games, they conquered and collected medals and trophies from World Robot Games, International Robot Olympiad, FIRA, International Robot Olympic Championships-China Open, and many more.
Angel Ken Young was a recently featured talent in the ABS-CBN show Little Big Shots with Billy Crawford. Aky, as fondly called by his friends, has never missed any game of DSTC and one of the pioneer players of the Summer Sumo Games and DSTC Robotics Challenge. And as expected, he would always bring home trophies and medals. Aky is truly a Champion.
Eunice Raga is a beautiful person inside and out. It is her second time to accept the invitation to speak in the Youth Convention and she is ready for more. Her unselfish dedication to spread the love for Cool Things That Matter resonates throughout the auditorium. Manila Cathedral School is blessed to have a talented young roboticist in the person of Eunice.
Kian Brian Dale Villareal is a gem in the field of robotics. He shared with the crowd how his experience in the International Robot Olympiad – Beijing has intensify his passion for the craft. His inspiring talk provided the needed boost to motivate more students to try their best and persevere. With his skill and positive disposition, there is no stopping Kian in becoming one of the best robotics inventor in the future.
Jose Carlos Paco is a multi-awarded roboticist from Colegio De San Juan De Letran –Calamba. He has won in the International Robot Olympiad [Korea & Beijing] and International Innovation Awards in Indonesia. His talk helped a lot of students in the audience particularly in choosing the clearer path to becoming a true robotics engineer. Jose Carlos is an eloquent speaker and more so a brilliant budding engineer and inventor.
Pierre Alan Romir Pioquid showed how a person could be both a champion roboticist and a champion project manager. He highlighted his talks with team work, resourcefulness and making the best out of what you have. The crowd was all ears when he shared tips on how you could win a robot competition with only a few sets of motors, a microcontroller, styrofoam and a load of determination to win ~because that was how they aced their performance in their Mission Challenge in FIRA Taiwan. Pierre is what every robot team needs.
Mrs. Ritchie Villanueva is our parent representative in the Youth Convention who encouraged fellow parents in supporting their children’s interest in robotics. She shared tips on how she motivated and guided her children in becoming the best versions of themselves. Mrs. Ritchie Villanueva is the mother of Aundee Villanueva, a muti-awarded competitor in local games and in the World Robot Games-Indonesia.
DSTC is truly honored and thankful to all the speakers for providing enlightenment and inspiration to the young scientists and engineers of the Philippines.
